Motorized lift system utilizes the the Somfy Radio Technology Somfy (RTS) system. The motors will fully operate the shades with radio frequency technology. RTS1 remote- will operate all of the shades at the same time on the same channel. This cannot be changed later. RTS 5 can operate up to five shadings individually or 4 shades and 1 group control of shades . If you want more than 5 individually controlled shades you must request and be charged for 2 remotes with different channels.

Hold Downs
Hold Down Brakets are meant for holding down the bottom rails so that the blind doesnt bang on the door after mounting.

Mount Options
Inside Mount manufacturers will take .3/8 deduction from this measurement. Outside Mount manufacturers will not deduct.

Mounting Spacers
Spacers are needed if you are mounting over a molding and need the bracket to come forward or mounting above the molding and need to make up the difference in molding depth to mount on the wall above the molding.

Control Mechanism
These blinds can have a standard right left control or cordless or cordless top down bottom up. For large blinds they can have cord loop gear drive.

Tips To Remember:

Use a steel measuring tape
Round down to the nearest 1/8" for width
Round up to the nearest 1/8" for height
See Product Specifications for more specific product info.
Sizes should always be provided in this format: Width x Height
On any measurement given, the factory does have a +/- 1/8 of an inch variance allowance.

Measure For Cellular Blinds

Inside Mount Width

•   Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom).
•   Take the smallest of the three measurements to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.
•   The factory will take a small deduction (usually approximate 3/8 of an inch deduction) off the total width of headrail and fabric to allow for correct installation. There is a +/- 1/8" variance so it is very important to take the absolute smallest width.

Inside Mount Height

•   Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three spots across window.
•   Take the largest of the three measurements.

Outside Mount Width

•   Measure the exact width (left to right) of the wooden or metal window frame (outer edge) OR how wide you want the product to be.
•   Be sure to measure wide enough as to cover the entire window plus offer enough coverage to avoid light or privacy gap. This is especially important if you have no trim and are installing to sheet rock or dry wall surface. 1-2 inches past the opening on EACH side is suggested if you do not have molding/trim.
•   French doors-you should have a minimum of 1 inch past the glass on each side added to the glass measurement for coverage.

Outside Mount Height

•   Measure the top and bottom edge of window frame/trim. If no trim, be sure you provide the height you want the shade to be from top of the headrail to bottom of the bottom rail.
•   Be sure to allot for coverage for light control and mounting hardware if mounting above window opening to wall surface. You will need 2 inches of surface area to mount above opening. Call us for further instruction if needed.
•   French doors-Be sure to add 2 inches for mounting above glass on surface of door for installation brackets and 2 inches below for hold down bracket install.-Call us for more information on this type of install.

Purchased these for a guest room and we are very happy with the blinds. Mechanism moves smoothly, and room is nice and dark, even with sun shining right on the window. Blinds do not seem as sturdy as previous Hunter Douglas brand we have bought, but for the price, these are awesome and should last plenty long enough. I will be buying additional window coverings soon, and will very likely buy from blindsexpress.com again.

The previous cord-loop, store brand blinds finally broke down after 12 years! After trying out a name brand on other blind replacements, we were dissatisfied so I tried their store brand again. It's fantastic! We really like the no-cord, touch up/down mechanism. It works smoothly and it's a great feature to have no cords to tangle on all the things my daughter keeps on the desk below the window. The blackout feature works very well. We'll be using the store brand for more replacement blinds!

Nice. I would always add an extra inch or 2 to the length of any shade from now on. Just my opinion. Better having more material than less in that case.

The shades arrived ahead of time in great condition. Installing them was very simple; hubby put four shades up in less than 45 minutes. I ordered blackout shades, and do the job very well. I would recommend the shades and the company to my friends and family.

Do you charge for shipping?

Shipping is included in most products online. The exceptions are Norm Brand and freight sizes. Shipping fees will be seen prior to ordering in your cart. There may be freight exceptions depending on quantity of freight items in your order. All vendors have different freight policies. So you may receive an email or call in the unusual circumstance where additional charges apply.

Hawaii and Alaska Deliveries: Surcharges are online and will apply to your order for most products shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. However there are some cases with larger orders, etc where you may get a call from us with additional charges for orders shipping here.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping of your custom product(s) with few exceptions take between 2-3 weeks from the time of ordering. Our Quick Ship branded products usually ship within 5 business days depending on the current supply and demand of the product.

All products are custom so the factories take time to process and make each item.

Exceptions:

Freight items over 90 inches will take a few days longer as they ship by freight handlers. Shutters and some woven wood programs take longer than 2-3 weeks. The 4 Week Norm Shutter program usually arrives within 4-5 weeks. All other Shutter programs take approximately 7-10 weeks. As will all shipping, holidays will affect the ship times.
