Does sales tax apply?

Sales tax will be applied to any products bought from us and shipped to New York State. We have a corporate office here and under New York State law sales tax must be applied at the time of the order.

In a recent development, residents in California will have to pay a "handling fee" for any products shipped from Bali due to their new corporate presence in California.


Do you send catalogs ?

Catalogs are very expensive and although very helpful, we feel our site is more up to date. Catalogs also add to the costs of the blinds, something we do not want to do. Our prices are the best in the business and we work hard to keep them that way!


How long does shipping take?

Unless you have chosen one of our Quick Ship products that usually ship within 2-3 days, your products with few exceptions take between 2-3 weeks from the time of ordering to delivery at your front door. Back ordered items or discontinued products and colors will happen at times and we will make every attempt to notify our customers in a timely manner. Many manufacturers don't contact us sadly until they pull the inventory for the product and that is when they let us know that the product is out of stock. This is a very poor way of doing business, but we have no control over this practice.
There will be times that on the same order some products will be made at different locations and will be shipped at different times. Call us with any questions about your order.


Do you charge for shipping?

Our prices include freight charges. As of 1-1-2016 Norman is charging freight on all of their products. Norman freight charges will be shown on the final cart. The other free freight exception is a product 94 inches and up in width, there will be a flat fee of $75 to $150 added to your order depending on the manufacturer. Some charge more than others, also depending on size and quantity, shipping may be up to $150.00. We will contact you if this is the case.
Hawaii and Alaska Deliveries:
Our manufacturers charge various amounts to ship to these (2) states, no two manufacturers are alike.

Due to a new California ruling regarding internet sales shipped to a California residence who buy any products from Springs Window Fashions (Bali), we are being charged a handling fee that is represented on all of our California customer's carts at the time of order. The charge varies on the amount purchased. This applies to only California residents. www.BlindsExpress.com has no control over this matter.

Methods of payments?

We accept Master Card, Visa and Discover charge cards. American Express is not a card we accept due to their excessive merchant fees. We accept money orders or certified checks, but the checks need to be in our possession before the order can be placed. We now offer the option of using PayPal. These plans always add pricing to the product.


How do I change an order once placed?

An internet order confirmation is sent immediately to your email after the cart is checked out. You need to check that email as soon as you get it. If you do not get an email confirmation shortly after placing the order, call us at 1.800.836.4488. The reason for this is the order did not process or you typed in the wrong email address. If it is a verbal order, you need to listen to the read back carefully. If an error is made during the read back process you will be given the opportunity to correct the error. You will also receive an email confirmation of the verbal order, giving you one last chance to make any corrections to the order. Once you have given an acceptance reply to the confirmation email regarding your order, it will be placed.


Do you ship outside the continental US?

We do not ship outside of the US. We do make an occasional exception, a phone call to our customer service will answer any questions you might have. Hawaii and Alaska are always an adjusted freight charge.


When is my credit card charged?

Your credit card is charged at the time of the order. These are custom blinds made specifically for your home. These products are not returnable for any reason other than defect or damage. In this case please call us right away and DO NOT refuse the shipment.


Will I receive a confirmation, installation instructions and all mounting hardware?

Confirmations are addressed above. Instructions always come with the product as well as all necessary hardware.


How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your order, click on "My Account" in the top right hand corner of the Home Page. Enter your e-mail address and password and your previous and current orders can be accessed. You may also check if the products have shipped yet and if there is tracking information posted.
